CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An eighth-grade student got the surprise of a lifetime as he recovers in the hospital from a bad hit during a middle school football game.
Panthers tight end Greg Olsen visited the teen Tuesday at Levine Children's Hospital.
Olsen gave him a beanie. All of the proceeds from the beanie Olsen sells benefits the hospital.
The 13-year-old football player was hit during a kickoff play in the championship game between Sun Valley and Holy Trinity middle schools earlier this month.
