CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Roslyn Singleton was diagnosed with brain cancer not once but twice. First in 2013 then again in 2019.
Fortunately, the Navy veteran hasn’t had to battle the disease on her own. Her husband Ray has been steady by her side and he’s used his love for music to comfort and encourage his wife.

In fact, videos of Ray serenading Roslyn before surgery went viral, catching the attention of talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. The couple appeared on her show earlier this year.
The couple’s story has also caught the attention of the Carolina Panthers, who have invited them to perform the national anthem at Sunday’s game, which has been designated to celebrate and honor cancer patients and raise awareness for early detection.
