Panthers highlight flag football in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools before preseason game

CHARLOTTE — Charlotte-Mecklenburg flag football teams played a special exhibition match during Saturday’s preseason game at Bank of America Stadium.

Before the Carolina Panthers took on the New York Jets at home, several players ran out of the tunnel led by USA Football gold medalists and North Carolina natives Madison Fulford and Amber Clark.

“It’s amazing. I started playing 3 years ago, playing in weekend tournaments here and there,” Clark said. “Now to see it take off at the collegiate level, it’s super great to be a part of and feel out grow this game.”

Fulford and Clark served as honorary captains during the halftime match.
