CHARLOTTE — Carolina Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn faces an extended absence after suffering a quad injury during Sunday’s loss against the Cleveland Browns.
Panthers head coach Dave Canales addressed the roster setback following the game. Canales stated that Horn suffered a “significant quad injury” and did not provide a specific timeline for his return.
Horn earned Pro Bowl honors during the previous two seasons. The cornerback participated in 15 games in 2024 and 16 games in 2023, the Panthers said.
The Panthers also lost cornerback Mike Jackson during the game when he exited with a groin injury and did not return. Jackson maintains an active streak of 73 consecutive appearances, marking the fifth-longest active streak for a defensive back, along with 41 straight starts, which ranks sixth.
Head coach Canales postponed addressing inquiries regarding Jackson’s recovery schedule until later in the week.
