CHARLOTTE — A pair of homes in Charlotte’s Eastover neighborhood each sold for more than $5 million in March, making them the two most expensive residential transactions recorded in Mecklenburg County that month.
The property with the county’s highest overall price tag last month was a recently remodeled, 8,309-square-foot estate on Vernon Drive that sold for $5.7 million. It houses five bedrooms, six full bathrooms and two half-bathrooms. Features of that home include a gourmet kitchen, heated floors and a soaking tub in the primary bathroom, and a hidden door that leads to a movie theater on the third floor, according to its listing details.
Clocking in at No. 2 on the list is the $5.175 million sale of an estate on Eastover Road. That 7,239-square-foot home has six bedrooms, six full bathrooms and two half-bathrooms, with features such as a media room and a new kitchen. It boasts an outdoor area designed for entertaining. In addition to a pool and spa, a grilling kitchen and a wood-burning fireplace, there’s a pool house with additional living space.
