LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C. — Officials discovered a THC-laden peanut butter and honey sandwich packaged to look like something one might find in any student’s lunchbox.
The Lancaster County School District Safety and Transportation posted to Facebook that officials found the “Munchables” Tuesday during a drug and weapon scan at a school. The name of the school was not revealed.
The sandwich was labeled to have 100 milligrams of THC, which is derived from marijuana.

Officials warned parents that products like “Munchables” are sold legally in states approved to sell recreational marijuana.
The school district posted a warning for parents.
“Watch those kids closely,” officials posted to Facebook. “We are working to keep up with the trends to deter drug use on our campuses and educate parents so they can protect their children in the community.”
The label on the package said the sandwich contained 100 milligrams of THC.
According to a widely-circulated chart by Leafly, that much THC is highly likely to cause severe impairment and recommended it for cancer patients.
