UNION COUNTY, N.C. — A highway in Union County will be closed for hours while crews clean up after a tractor-trailer packed with live chickens overturned early Monday morning.
State troopers told Channel 9 that the truck crashed around 4:30 a.m. on Highway 205 in Marshville, near New Hope Church Road.
Dozens of chickens were killed in the crash and crews were working to wrangle those that survived.
