The event encourages people to walk, bike or roller skate in the streets with the goal of building a healthier and more connected community.
Six neighborhoods shut down streets along a 4-mile route between NoDa and Plaza Midwood.
“I think that one of the things that really gets people out here is the opportunity to commune and discover and explore without having to worry about crossing the street or bumping into a car, bumping into traffic,” said participant D.C. Lucchesi.
More than 60,000 people have participated the past two years.
