The Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy says the four biggest mistakes people make are:
- They miss the deadline. Open enrollment goes until Dec. 15.
- They’re so focused on how much the premiums cost, they don’t factor in the deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket maximums.
- People go with a high-deductible plan because the premiums are low, but don’t realize they may end up paying more.
- They go without insurance. Just remember: one medical issue could cost you thousands.
