PAGELAND, S.C. — South Carolina State Highway Patrol troopers are investigating after a Lancaster man was killed in a crash in Chesterfield County Sunday morning.
The crash happened around 7 a.m. on Highway 9 at Lester Hicks Circle, west of Pageland.
Troopers said a pickup truck crossed into the opposite lane of traffic and collided with a tractor-trailer.
Officials told Channel 9's South Carolina bureau reporter Greg Suskin the driver of the pickup, 26-year-old Jordan Hinson, was killed in the wreck.
The tractor-trailer driver was hurt, but is expected to be OK.
Authorities said both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
