CHARLOTTE — A crash on Interstate 485 sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries, according to MEDIC.
The crash occurred on the I-485 outer loop ramp to Interstate 77 northbound after 11 a.m. One person had to be extracted from a car, authorities said.

MEDIC said one person was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
A Channel 9 crew on the scene could see a silver, four-door car with a smashed front end and busted out windows on an embankment next to the highway.
Rescue crews from several different agencies were at the scene.
No additional information on the cause of the crash or the injured person’s identity were immediately available.
