YORK COUNTY, S.C. — A pickup truck driver died in a two-car crash on Interstate 77 near Fort Mill on Friday night, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Authorities said it happened in the southbound lanes of the interstate around 8:30 p.m., near the South Sutton Road exit.
Troopers said someone in a 2012 Nissan Frontier was carrying a trailer when they overturned and were hit by a someone driving a 2018 Chevy Silverado.

Troopers said the driver of the Frontier, later identified as 51-year-old James Laws of Chester, died in the crash.
An autopsy and toxicology report are expected to be completed next week, troopers said.
Highway Patrol and the York County Coroner’s Office are investigating what led up to the crash.
Investigators did not say if any charges will be filed.
