MOUNT HOLLY, N.C. — A major planned expansion by The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery took a big step forward this week as it secured approval from city leaders in Mount Holly.

As CBJ reported in June, OMB expects to invest about $4.3 million in the expansion. The project will include a roughly 5,000-square-foot “brewery restaurant,” founder John Marrino said at the time.
