CONCORD, N.C. — After hitting a snag earlier this year, Old Dominion Freight Line has been approved for an incentives grant for a new project in Concord.

At its meeting Thursday night, Concord City Council approved a grant for ODFL’s $18 million proposed project at The Grounds at Concord, the former Philip Morris site. The Thomasville-based transportation company is proposing a new interstate motor freight terminal at The Grounds, an effort that would create 100 jobs, city documents state.
