ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A toddler drowned Monday in her family's swimming pool near Salisbury.
Rowan County sheriff's investigators said that emergency workers were called to a home on Castor Road around 3 p.m.
The girl was found face-down in an above ground pool behind the home, officials said. First responders were unable to revive the girl, who would have turned 2 years old next month.
Her name has not been released.
Investigators have released few details but said both parents were home at the time.
