ROCK HILL, S.C. — Channel 9's South Carolina Bureau reporter Greg Suskin learned one person has died after they drove off a road and partially down an embankment in Rock Hill Thursday morning.
Officials said 39-year-old Michael Thomas was killed when his truck veered off the road and struck a tree.

The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on Bechtler Road near Dunlap Roddey Road.
Suskin said volunteer firefighters and state troopers were at the scene.
The cause of the crash has not been released at this point.
