CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Law enforcement officers set off Monday on a 500-mile bike ride to remember more than 100 officers who died in the line of duty in 2015.

Officers from agencies around North Carolina will bike from Charlotte to Washington D.C. in the Bike to DC - Ride to Honor.
The 4-day ride will culminate in a candlelight vigil at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C.
This is the 10th year Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers and nearby agencies have participated in the ride.
