CHARLOTTE — Commuters in midtown Charlotte were met with a not-so-friendly message on an electronic sign Thursday morning.
The two words on an electronic sign on Stonewall Street near the I-277 on-ramp contained a four-letter expletive followed by the word “you.”
Uh…. Good morning to you, too!

The sign has already been fixed pic.twitter.com/qYbuvaH9X0
Channel 9 received photos and video from viewers who passed the sign, but by 8:30 a.m., the message had been removed.
We have reached out to the Charlotte Department of Transportation for more information on how this happened. We have not heard back.
This is a developing story. Check wsoctv.com for updates.
