CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The driver of a tractor-trailer said someone threw something off an overpass on Interstate 485 late Wednesday night, smashing his windshield.

The incident happened just after 11 p.m. near West Boulevard.
The driver was not hurt but the windshield was severely damaged.
No arrests have been made and police are still investigating.
