Northern Lights of Lake Norman canceled due to low water levels

Organizers say they’re cancelling a holiday boat parade because of low water levels.

The Northern Lights of Lake Norman parade was scheduled for Dec. 9 but on its Facebook page, organizers say several boaters can’t get their boats out of docks.

Safety is a concern with the low water levels, so the parade was canceled.
