North Stanly High temporarily goes to remote learning after multiple COVID-19 cases

STANLY COUNTY, N.C. — North Stanly High School announced in a Facebook post it will go to virtual learning from Wednesday through Oct. 16 “due to multiple COVID-19 positive cases among staff in a short period of time.”

Officials said they made the decision “in an abundance of caution and in an effort to be proactive.”

Students can continue to do class assignments through Canvas. Teachers will send Canvas notifications about Google Meets and class notifications through Canvas.

Lunch can be picked up at the cafeteria drive-thru from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Officials said they were not aware of any students being in close contact with a positive staff member.

Parents were asked to monitor their children’s health during remote learning.
