North Carolina woman wins $100,000 in Powerball lottery

RALEIGH, N.C. — A woman is $100,000 richer following a Powerball drawing last week, according to reports from WTVD.

Valerie Fegans told WTVD she bought a $3 lucky quick-pick ticket online.

After the purchase, her ticket matched the four white balls and the red Powerball ticket to $50,000.

Her prize was doubled to $100,000 when her 2X multiplier hit, according to WTVD.

Fegans said she took home $71, 259 after federal and state tax withholdings.
