GREENSBORO, N.C. — Some people are arming themselves with mace and metal rods after two fox attacks in North Carolina in a month.
The most recent attack happened last week in Greensboro, North Carolina.

A homeowner said he was walking to his mailbox when a fox darted from some bushes.
The fox bit the man three times before he could kick it off.
Last month, a Concord Woman used a two-by-four to fight off a rabid fox.

Lorie Horton said she was walking her dogs along Highway 601 when the fox bit her ankle.
She said she is now taking rabies medicine plus antibiotics and pain medicine.
