CHARLOTTE — The Carolina Panthers are inviting two high schools from North Carolina and South Carolina to play a football game at Bank of America Stadium for this year’s Keep Pounding High School Classic.
The 2025 event is set for Aug. 22, featuring a double-header with high school football players from the Carolinas. It’s a unique opportunity for student-athletes to play on the same field as NFL stars.
High schools in North Carolina or South Carolina can be nominated, and the teams will be chosen by mid-February. Nominations must be submitted by the school’s athletic director or head football coach; you can share the nomination form at this link. Nominations will close on Feb. 3.
“The Keep Pounding High School Classic celebrates the important role that high school football plays in communities across our region and provides teams, their fans, and the high school football community with the ultimate experience at Bank of America Stadium,” Kristi Coleman, CEO of Tepper Sports & Entertainment and President of the Carolina Panthers, said in a statement.
Last year, Independence High School beat Myers Park, 24-21; and Weddington won a match against Providence Day, 13-7.
