CHARLOTTE — NoDa Brewing Co. expects to wrap a $4 million-plus project by late summer that will expand its footprint and position the brand for continued growth.
The popular Charlotte brewery projects it will increase volume by as much as 40% to about 24,000 barrels this year, says Suzie Ford, who co-founded the business with husband Todd in 2011.
“It’s just trying to figure out what the future holds and what the future will be in craft beer,” she says.
The expansion will streamline production and distribution for NoDa, adding 16,000 square feet at its flagship location at 150 W. 32nd St. The project, which will add 50% to NoDa’s current footprint, was first announced in August 2021 but faced delays tied to the construction process and weather.
Steel is up now and concrete has been poured, Ford says.
