CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating after a man, who was shot in east Charlotte late Tuesday night, died at the hospital.
It happened just after 10 p.m. near McAlway Road, which is near Randolph Middle School.
Detectives are conducting a homicide investigation near the 1100 block of McAlway Road where one person has been pronounced deceased.

When officers got to the area, they found 24-year-old Laquintin McManus with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Authorities have not said what led up to the shooting and no arrests have been made.
