GREAT FALLS, S.C. — Authorities are investigating after a shooting outside a Chester County club left a man dead late Saturday night.
The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. in Great Falls outside the Last Call Club.
Police said they were called to the area after receiving reports about shots fired outside the club. When they got there, they found a man who had been shot several times.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, but he has not been identified.
While investigating, Great Falls Police spotted a car leaving the scene with no headlights on and illegally passing other cars. Authorities told Channel 9′s South Carolina bureau reporter Greg Suskin there was a short chase before three people ditched the car and ran.
Authorities have not said what led up to the shooting. No arrests have been made, but police said they believe the people in the car were involved.
