NFL fans flock into Panthers team store

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Carolina Panthers fans were out in full force at Bank of America Stadium on Black Friday taking pictures and grabbing some Panthers gear.

The team has become the 16th NFL team to start a season 11-0 and fans are loving it.

Team store employees said the winning season has absolutely had an impact on sales.

They said the store has been noticeably busier than past seasons, and this Black Friday was the busiest they've seen in a while and almost as busy as a game day.

The store drew in other NFL fans.

Kalif Perkins was there with his family visiting from Dallas.

"I'm a Cowboys fan I'll admit that but I do respect the Panthers," Perkins said. 'They're a really good and surprising football team."

Denise Cooper Page is an Atlanta Falcons fan but said she's always supported Panthers quarterback Cam Newton who is originally from Georgia.

"I'm going to buy a jersey, I'm going to support him," she said, "I'm going to wear it except on Falcon-Carolina day."

The fans said they'd be at the store even if it wasn't Black Friday.

"While we're in town, we wanted to come by the shop and see if there were any Black Friday sales," Jill Saleebe said. "But either way, we're here to support the Panthers and we're just so proud of them."

"I'm a number one fan," Cynthia Thomas said, "So I don't just come out for Black Friday I come out any time they have a special or anytime of the season."
