New-to-market concept aims to bring wine country to South End

CHARLOTTE — Sixty Vines has set its sights on South End.

The Texas-based concept has plans for an 8,000-square-foot restaurant that dials in on wine-country culture and cuisine, as well as a 2,600-square-foot patio.

It will be part of Vantage South End — and the brand’s first location in North Carolina.

The 635,000-square-foot Vantage South End project includes two, 11-story office towers, 55,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, and a 1-acre courtyard that seats 1,000-plus people.

That $300 million venture is being developed by Charlotte-based The Spectrum Cos. and Invesco of Atlanta.

“South End’s mission to create discovery around every corner aligns closely with ours: to reimagine wine culture and inspire adventure and discovery,” says Jeff Carcara, chief executive of Sixty Vines.
