New restaurants, retail sign on at $60M Optimist Hall project

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Construction is in full swing on this $60 million adaptive-reuse project in Optimist Park.

That project by Charlotte-based White Point Partners and Atlanta-based Paces Properties breathes new life into a former textile mill, which dates to the 1890s.

It will bring 149,000 square feet of office, retail, restaurants and a food hall to the neighborhood.

“There’s very few original buildings that have the bones that can transform into something like this,” says Jay Levell, partner at White Point Partners.

And, the list of planned retail and restaurant offerings at Optimist Hall continues to grow — with four new tenants announced Monday.
