“Ultimately, the idea is you’re drinking in your buddy’s basement,” says Scott Krezmer, general manager.
Billy Jack’s is narrowing in on its official debut at 3220 N. Davidson St. in Charlotte’s NoDa neighborhood. Training and a soft opening is underway as Billy Jack’s waits for its liquor license, Krezmer adds.

The roughly 2,000-square-foot space — formerly Davidson Public House — has been transformed with a quirky mix of decor.
A shack with a corrugated metal roof now frames the bar. Lockers are tucked under the live-wood edge bar. A blue row boat and disco ball hang from the ceiling and other quirky odds and ends from old-school cameras to taxidermy are part of the mix.
