CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The sixth Zaxby's in the city of Charlotte is opening at 8905 Albemarle Road in May.

Drew Patel, the licensee of the location, plans to open the new fast-casual restaurant and hire around 50 people.

"After eating Zaxby's regularly for many years, I realized I wanted to be more than a customer and opened my first location last year in Mooresville," said Patel. "Zaxby's has proven to be a great fit for the Charlotte market, and we will continue to work hard to be this community's choice for dining."

The new restaurant will be the second Zaxby's for Patel and the eighth in Mecklenburg County.

A fan favorite for chicken fingers and wings, Zaxby's currently operates in 16 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia.

"We're assembling a team of more than 50 associates from the local community, with many positions still available," said Patel. "We are looking for team members who feel passionately about providing an exceptional level of customer service to our guests."

Interested candidates can fill out an application online here or stop by the Mooresville Zaxby's located at 288 W. Plaza Drive to apply.
