CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte manufacturing company embroiled in a legal battle over antitrust issues has a new executive in charge of its finances.
Jeld-Wen Holding Inc. announced late yesterday that Brooks Mallard has left the role of chief financial officer “to pursue other career interests.” John Linker has been promoted to executive vice president and CFO, according to the company’s news release.

“John has earned a reputation as a results-driven leader, making significant contributions to our growth and driving process discipline into his areas of responsibility,” said Gary Michel, president and chief executive, in the news release.
Michel has been at the helm of Jeld-Wen for only a few months himself.
News of Mallard’s departure came along with a separate news release on preliminary revenue figures and anticipated charges stemming from a recent ruling against the company in its legal battle with Texas door maker Steves & Sons Inc.
