CHARLOTTE, N.C. — More eligibility means more people fighting for COVID-19 vaccination appointments and they fill up fast, so Channel 9′s Joe Bruno is here to help.

Joe has dedicated hours of his time, both on and off the clock, posting updates about appointments so you can get vaccinated. Health officials have been reaching out with openings, and many Channel 9 viewers have tweeted messages saying they were able to book appointments through Joe’s updates.

Here are some highlighted upcoming clinics:

Walmart and Sam’s Club

All Walmart and Sam’s Club pharmacy locations across North Carolina are now accepting walk-in vaccine appointments, as supply allows, in addition to scheduled appointments. Appointments can be made at walmart.com/COVIDvaccine and samsclub.com/covid.

Walmart pharmacies are open seven days a week. Sam’s Club pharmacies are closed on Sunday. The pharmacies are administering the approved Johnson and Johnson, Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. Individuals are not required to be a member to receive the vaccine at Sam’s Club.

Novant Health

Novant Health has launched mobile health units to bring COVID-19 vaccines into vulnerable communities across the area.

Health officials said they will be sending mobile units to priority ZIP codes in an effort to provide easier access to the vaccine. Each week, the events will be held at high-traffic locations such as grocery stories and residential areas like public housing communities and homeless shelters.

Appointments are available, but it is not required.
