CHARLOTTE — Nearly 2,000 people woke up without power on Tuesday morning in northwest Charlotte.
Duke Energy reported 1,848 customers were without power in the area of Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road. The outage was first reported around 5 a.m. The outage was caused by an object coming into contact with power lines.
Power was restored around 10 a.m.
A Channel 9 crew arrived to an area of Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road where the traffic lights were out due to the outage. Power is expected to be restored by 8 a.m.
