NCHSAA says student-athletes must wear masks during indoor games, practices

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The North Carolina High School Athletic Association announced it will require athletes participating in all indoor sports to wear face masks.

Athletes, coaches and support staff are required to wear masks at all times, including during practices and games.

The mandate starts no later than Monday.

Students who have a medical condition will need a doctor’s note to opt-out of the mandate.
