NCDOT seeks public input on 10-year plan

NORTH CAROLINA — Drivers in North Carolina will have a chance this month to voice their thoughts on projects the department of transportation could accomplish over the next 10 years.

The State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) identifies construction and funding schedules for state transportation projects over a 10-year period.

NCDOT is seeking project input for the STIP that will cover 2026-2035.

Starting August 1 until the end of the month the pubic comment will be accepted in various ways to NCDOT.

You can give your feedback in an interactive survey or you can head to your local NCDOT office during designated drop in periods and submit your comments in person.

NCDOT explains that this period is not for maintenance-related projects but projects regarding the six modes of transportation.
