RALEIGH, N.C. — The North Carolina State Bar was the target of a ransomware attack Monday night, officials said in a news release.

The attack was quickly discovered, and a rapid response team attempted to stop the spread of the ransomware.
The team effort to stop it was successful, but the system has to be restored and repaired.
There is no indication any State Bar data or personal information was compromised.
The website and portal are currently down.

Officials apologize for any inconvenience and said they are working around the clock to get the systems operational.
