CHARLOTTE — For the second month in a row, paid sports betting set a record in November, according to the N.C. State Lottery Commission.
The Lottery Commission, the state’s governing body over sports betting, released its latest monthly data this week. Paid online sports bets totaled $638.7 million between Nov. 1 and Nov. 30, eclipsing the previous record of $589.1 million, set in October, by 8%.
Legalized online sports betting started in North Carolina in March. The state legislature approved sports betting in June 2023.
Through nine months of betting, the most paid bets came in October and November — the heart of football season.
