CHARLOTTE, N.C. — North Carolina is seeing a jump in the number of parents ditching traditional learning to take on homeschooling.
One mother told Channel 9 that, although she feels the classroom is the best place for children to learn, she doesn’t feel they should be there during the pandemic. She also said the virtual learning schedule for her district didn’t fit with her family’s schedule, so she chose to homeschool her three kids.

And she’s not alone.
North Carolina now has more than 10,000 students who are being homeschooled.
