WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A mother and her three children were killed in an apparent murder-suicide in Winston-Salem on Tuesday, WXLV reports.
Police said they were called to Brookhill Drive for a shooting around noon. When officers arrived, they found 40-year-old Ethal Syretha Steele and her three kids ages 9, 12, and 14 years old at the home, WXLV reported.

All four were found shot dead; Steele’s gunshot wound appeared to be self-inflicted, investigators said.
Authorities said they aren’t looking for anyone else in connection to the case, and there is no active threat to the community.
