NC grocer once again voted America’s best supermarket

CHARLOTTE — A North Carolina-based grocer has been named the country’s best supermarket for the second straight year.

The Fresh Market has again been recognized as the “Best Supermarket in America” in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

The grocer is headquartered in Greensboro and operates 159 stores in 22 states, including five in the Charlotte area.

Of the top 10 grocers in the USA Today ranking, five have stores in the region.
