GREENSBORO, N.C. — The baby at the center of an overnight Amber Alert in Greensboro has been found safe and has been reunited with his parents, police said.
According to WGHP, 11-month-old Azlazial Amir Ritter was inside a black 2015 Chevrolet Malibu when the car was stolen from the Great Stops gas station around 9 p.m.
Shortly after 3:15 a.m., the stolen Malibu was found in High Point, with the child still inside.
Azlazial was not hurt and police reunited him with his parents. Authorities are still looking for the person who stole the car.
“My son called and said his fiancé was pumping gas, went in the store and coming right back out and when she got back out the car was gone with my grandson in it,” Azlazial’s grandfather, John Ritter, told WGHP.
The suspect was described as a man between 17-20 years old, about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and wearing a blue camouflage jacket, gray pants and sandals with white socks.
