ASHE COUNTY, N.C. — At least eleven people were hurt after a deck collapsed in West Jefferson Saturday night, according to Ashe County emergency services.
It happened around 8 p.m. at a rental cabin. Officials said a total of nine people were transported to the hospital and two were airlifted.

Multiple departments took part in the response effort.
Officials have not released the cause of the collapse or the names of the people who were hurt.
