CONCORD, N.C. — Over 30 firefighters responded to a commercial fire in Concord on Wednesday night.
According to a release from the Concord Fire Department, around 7 p.m., firefighters went to a structure fire on Pitts School Road NW. Responding firefighters got to the scene within minutes and saw flames and smoke coming from inside the building.
It took the department 19 minutes to bring the fire under control. Firefighters searched the property and salvage to look for any hidden fires.
Harrisburg and Charlotte fire departments assisted Concord. The departments used five engines, three ladder engines, one rescue team, four battalion chiefs, and one safety officer.
Firefighters say no employees were in the building during the fire, and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
