Neighbors said they believe lightning struck the house.
Fire damaged the top portion of the home. No one was home at the time of the fire.
“I never imagined in my life that I would see something get struck by lightning and it be someone I know in my neighborhood, watch their house get close to almost burning down,” a neighbor at the scene said.
No further information has been released.
