I-85 South reopens after multi-vehicle crash in Cabarrus County, officials say

CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. — Interstate 85 South was closed at about 10 p.m. Wednesday near Bruton Smith Boulevard in Cabarrus County after a multi-vehicle crash, troopers said.

At about 11:30 p.m., all lanes reopened.

I-85 South near mile marker 58 was also closed after a wreck involving a tractor-trailer. It is not known if the two crashes are connected. That portion of the interstate is expected to reopen by 6 a.m. Thursday.

No further information has been released.
