MORGANTON, N.C. — Fire investigators in Morganton are trying to figure out what caused an apartment building to go up in flames.
The Morganton News Herald reports the fire started just after 3 p.m. Thursday at the Riverview Apartments off Kirksey Drive.
Several rooms and apartments were damaged by fire and smoke.
It's not clear how much damage was caused by the fire.
Six families have been displaced, but no one was hurt.
The American Red Cross is helping the families whose homes were damaged.
