HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Duke Energy is working to restore power to more than 350 customers in Huntersville after tree branches got caught in power lines.
The Huntersville Fire Department said there was an issue with power lines on Highway 73 near McGuire after power was knocked out around 6:20 p.m.
Authorities advised drivers to be cautious in the area since they said there were multiple traffic intersections affected by the power outage.
Officials said tree-clearing crews were called to the scene to help.
Duke Energy said power should be restored by 11:15 p.m.
