HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Duke Energy is working to restore power to more than 350 customers in Huntersville after tree branches got caught in power lines.
The Huntersville Fire Department said there was an issue with power lines on Highway 73 near McGuire after power was knocked out around 6:20 p.m.
Multiple traffic intersections are affected by this power outtage. Please treat all intersections as a 4-way stop. @DukeEnergyStorm is calling in out of town, on-call, tree clearing teams to correct the issues. Officials said tree-clearing crews were called to the scene to help.
*West Side Powerline Issue* Expect additional outages, @DukeEnergyStorm advises they will need to cut more power in the area before they can fix the current power line issue at Hwy 73/McGuire. It’s going to get worse before it gets better. Thankful for our volunteer members.
